Are you ready to take on the role of Process Engineer II for a major petrochemical company? As a key member of our team, you will lead the design and optimization of process specifications and provide technical oversight for engineering projects. This is a full-time contract position with a leading company in Annandale, New Jersey.
Role Overview
- Lead Design Team: Oversee junior engineers in the development of process design specifications.
- Process Optimization: Identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities and safety requirements.
- Technical Oversight: Ensure consistency with company guidelines and project specifications.
- Hazard & Operability Reviews: Participate in reviews for new or modified facilities.
- Commissioning & Start-Up Assistance: Provide support for new or modified facilities.
- Organization & Staffing: Establish processes for efficient project management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Chemical Engineering: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Petrochemical Industry Experience: Previous experience in petroleum refining or chemical process industry preferred.
- Capital Project Development: Knowledge of project development processes and procedures.
- Adaptability: Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
- Fluent English: Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and business communications.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent required.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in process engineering or project management preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in petrochemical industry or with an engineering contractor.
